Connecting Electronic Hardware & Hearts
January 19, 2018
There’s a Keystone in every great invention.
Heart Health and their Electronics
February is the month of hearts - literally and figuratively.
On the one hand, Valentine’s day has the “emotional hearts” of the young and the old alike.
On the other, the sharpest minds in medicine and the most progressive electrocardiography medtech suppliers come together to advance in their fields at the MD&M West Conference and Expo.
A healthy heart is about connection:
The mechanical sentinels of a healthy human heart – the cardiac monitors by hospital beds and the portable, convenient Holter variants - contribute as a watchful guard thanks to the custom electronic hardware and connectors that keep them ticking.
The three key components of cardiac monitors go by several names.
Holter units, Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT) kits, or Electrocardiogram set-ups, each of which detail severe arrhythmia.
At the heart of every monitor you’ll find these three things:
- A sensor that can detect changes in the ECG rhythms of the patient.
- A translator that is capable of converting this biometric signal into a form that’s displayed on screens and deciphered by doctors.
- The LED or LCD screen which is the “read out.”
Keystone connects with the medical industry:
At Keystone Electronics, we’re proud to serve this sector and the selfless professionals who are responsible for the wellbeing of the populace.
Our team manufactures quality battery clips, contacts and holders, test points and probes, pc board hardware and pins, plugs and jacks which are ultimately assembled to create robust cardiac gear. Construction ranges from simple monitoring bands to the pneumatic miracles that function as artificial hearts.
What you’ll find at booth #3368:
If the matters of the heart intrigue you, or you are fascinated by precision medtech, join us at the Anaheim Convention Centre over February 6th to the 8th, 2018.
At MD&M West we will display our electronics products and engage with visitors that currently are and continue to look for new medical innovations.
We are excited to learn about the latest breakthroughs in medical monitoring, the security challenges of an IoT driven healthcare landscape, and connect with inventive companies looking for quality hardware to complete their vision.
